Qatar Engineering Laboratories was established in 2006 to provide materials testing and geotechnical consultancy to Qatar's construction sector. Our entry into the market was defined by the Qatalum Project at Mesaieed — a large-scale industrial development where independent, accredited testing was essential to structural and materials compliance.
That foundation shaped how we work: employ qualified engineers, maintain accredited processes, and deliver results that withstand technical and contractual scrutiny.
Today, QEL operates as part of BKG Holding, with an accredited branch laboratory in Hidd, Bahrain, and a continued presence in Doha. We support government road programmes, port developments, power and desalination projects, commercial towers, and housing developments — as well as routine materials evaluation for ready-mix and quarry operations.
